Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American Canadian singer and songwriter. Her catalog includes more than twenty albums. DiFranco's music is classified as folk and alternative rock but also has influences of hip-hop and jazz. Ani diFranco was the first musician to start her own label in 1990. Ani is widely considered as one of the feminist icons. DiFranco was a born on the 23rd of September 1970, in Buffalo New York. Her parents were Elizabeth (Ross), from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Dante Americo DiFranco. Her father was Italian descent as was her mother from Montreal. Ani DiFranco composed and sang 32 Flavors. The track is available on the album Not a Pretty Girl by Ani DiFranco, which was released in the year 1996. The song is featured on the film soundtrack for the Canadian romance film Better Than Chocolate from 1999. DiFranco apologized in 2013 after it became clear that she'd set up a three-day workshop at an Louisiana plantation. The workshop was cancelled, but the majority of people (including this piece) did not show any remorse. DiFranco made a retraction apology a couple of days after the first.
