Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American Canadian singer and songwriter. Her catalog includes more than twenty albums. DiFranco's music is classified as folk and alternative rock but also has influences of hip-hop and jazz. Ani diFranco was the first musician to start her own label in 1990. Ani is widely considered as one of the feminist icons. DiFranco was a born on the 23rd of September 1970, in Buffalo New York. Her parents were Elizabeth (Ross), from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Dante Americo DiFranco. Her father was Italian descent as was her mother from Montreal.
