Coleman was born in Blackpool Lancashire. She was a graduate of Arnold School Blackpool, where she received straight A grades for all of her A-levels. In response to questions about her Emmerdale character she replied she regretted not to have had a traditional college experience. At the time of her schooling, Coleman was a member of a theatre company called In Yer Space with whom she performed in the Edinburgh Festival in the play Crystal Clear. It also received favorable reviews. The show was praised by the audience for her amazing performance. While auditioning for drama school, Coleman was offered the role in the role of Jasmine Thomas in Emmerdale in 2005. Coleman received two nominations in the year 2007. At the British Soap Awards she was awarded Best Newcomer. Also, for the National Television Awards she was named the Most Popular Newcomer. The 2009 British Soap Awards she was awarded in the Best Actress Sexiest Female and Best Dramatic Performance categories. Coleman has been nominated as Best Actress by the TV Choice Awards. On the 21st March 2012, Doctor Who producer Steven Moffat confirmed at a press conference that Coleman would play the companion of Doctor Who along with Matt Smith after Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill have left the show. Moffat chose her due to how well she complemented Smith and the fact that she could speak faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Since 1987, she's been involved in television and film projects. It is true that she is more influential on television projects than film. In all the roles Eva has been in, the TV shows like Dr. Maria Santos in All My Children and Detective Natalia Boa Vista' in CSI Miami are the two that have stood out. The latter even garnered her two Daytime Emmy nominations as well as gave her the chance to explore her creativity in music. Aside from acting, Eva is a philanthropist and an entrepreneur. Her marriage has occurred three times and has a daughter by her previous husband.
